Helping The Planet

After attending a Durham University course on environmental issues 10 years ago Janet has always trained her team to be aware of the impact the industry has on the environment. The following areas are where she believes the company has strived to make the biggest impact over the years.

• Turning off the taps whilst massaging and shampooing reduces the water usage by half.

• Being aware of waste control and energy management.

• Using disposable towels that bio degrade quickly has improved client service and helps lessen our impact.

• We encourage our clients regularly to recycle old towels and blankets to give to the local animal refuge and use us as a drop off centre.
• Beginning a recycling programme to collect waste cans and glass from the salons

It is an ongoing process where everyday new ideas from the team and clients can help to have a positive effect on the environment so please pass on any ideas!
